OUR FOCUS
Bringing Change
New Jersey Farmers Cooperative is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. Since 1994, we have worked on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of New Jersey Farmers, Artists and Artisans through historic preservation, economic development, and education and outreach, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. We have recently incorporated as a non-profit so that we can solicit donations and grow our members. Learn more about what we do, who we help, and how we work every day to promote positive change in our community and beyond.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION
Our Commitment to the Future
We believe that historic preservation is farmland preservation. By restoring and repurposing both significant and vernacular historic properties, we can reduce waste and reduce use of scare resources. For every historic property preserved and maintained, we are saving farmland from being developed into new housing.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Helping Our Community Grow
To educate and empower artists, artisans, and farmers & give them greater access to direct-to-consumer sales, we are building a 20,000 square foot post and beam business incubator with 32 15x 15 stalls at Legates Farm in North Cape May, NJ. Reserve your stall today!
EDUCATION & OUTREACH
Sharing Ideas & Innovation
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find ways to make New Jersey's farming community more successful, more sustainable, and more inclusive. Throughout the year, we provide useful seminars and networking events to share ideas and innovations.

OUR MISSION
Preserve the Good.
Historic Preservation • Economic Development • Education & Outreach
The New Jersey Farmers Cooperative (NJFC) is creating a regional network of farmers in underserved communities in South Jersey and beyond to make the farming community more economically viable and sustainable, save farmland by preserving historic properties, and reinvigorate the farming community as a whole by providing education and outreach to women, people of color, and youth who had formerly not seen farming as a profitable occupation.
